Grandma.....Feed Me

Carson has only been going to daycare part-time recently and the grandma's have been watching him. He recently discovered "the seat" in the fridge and everytime you open the door he runs to sit down.

There's always time to play peek-a-boo!

First Haircut

I took Carson today to get his first haircut. Although he still doesn't have a lot of hair it was really getting long in the back so it was time to get it trimmed. He was really scared when we got there. I thought he would like to sit in the airplane chair but he didn't want anything to do with it. He sat in my lap and it was over in about a minute.

Sometimes it pays to be sick

The past week has been rough. Carson was at the doctor 4 days in a row including 2 trips to the ER. We finally got good news on Saturday! While he stills has wheezing it is getting better. After being so sick he got to experience some new things, a part of being spoiled when you don't feel well.

On Friday, after the second trip to the ER, he got some McDonald's french fries.

On Saturday after his doctor's appointment we took him to Bass Pro Shop to look at the fish tank. As we were checking out Ryan and I both got a moon pie. We decided to give both of them to Carson to see which one he would choose. I thought for sure he'd go for the strawberry because he usually doesn't want anything to do with chocolate. First he grabbed the strawberry and took a bite then he took the chocolate one. He wouldn't let the chcocolate one go!
Of course the chocolate one was mine :-)

(He actually gave it up when I put the cheese on his tray.)

Trip to the ER

Carson had his first trip to the ER this week. He had started wheezing again so we took him into the doctor on Wednesday and his oxygen level was very low. After doing a treatment his level did not increase very much so they sent him to the ER. (At one point they said he was going to be transported by an ambulance, I was freaking out). Once we got to the ER they gave him another treatment and monitored him for several hours and he was doing much better. Then this morning when he woke up he was having a lot of difficulty breathing so we had to take him back. He's had a rough couple of days but has been a real trooper. The grandma's have been an extreme help these past few days, not only comforting Carson but me as well. When you hear the word ambulance and your son's name in the same sentence your stomach just starts flipping.

Here he is entertaining himself at the ER. He found a piece of trash on the floor, picked it up and threw it away. We turned it into a game since he was having so much fun.

Looking for some toys to play with.
Yes, it's a McDonald's bag with leftovers from breakfast since we left the house so quickly.

He was so tired he collapsed in my arms. (He never does this)

Snow

It snowed today and Carson got to enjoy a little bit of it. Last time we had our big snow Carson wasn't feeling well so we didn't take him outside. The whole way home in the car today it was snowing and he kept pointing out the window, so we let him explore. The snow started this morning around 8 and came down pretty heavy. By this afternoon it had turned to rain and was melting but was frozen and crunchy. He was very hesitant at first and stayed on the sidewalk; then after I stuck my foot it in he decided it was safe and took off.

Pointing at the snow.
See you later Mom!

Of course he had to take his bear with him.
