Close Call

Well we ended up back at the hospital last night. After our appt yesterday I noticed Carson wasn't moving as much as he usually does. In fact he was hardly moving at all. It's supposed to be 10 movements in 2 hours and I didn't have 10 all day.

So I called the doctor and they told me to go to Labor and Delivery. They hooked me up to the monitor and sure enough he wasn't moving. She checked my cervix and I was 90% effaced but no dialation but she could feel his head and she tickled it a little which he liked. My cervix is also posterior and no where in position. She said they would continue monitoring me and order an ultrasound. But if he still wasn't moving like she'd like they were going to admit me and induce.

After more time went by he started to wake up. I was having lots of contractions but not the "real thing". After an hour and half he was moving all over so they cancelled the ultrasound and sent me home. They did give me an ambien for the insomnia and slept wonderfully (4hours) for a change. Too bad I only got one.

Please keep us in your prayers. I will keep you posted.

New House

Our walk through went very well today. I finally got pictures!!! If you look at the first picture you can see the big open field. That is actually a park! The last picture was taken from upstairs window overlooking the park.. We can't wait until Carson is big enough to go play on the swings. I included pictures from the kitchen, the family room (with the built ins), the upstairs play room and the master bedroom and bathroom. The tub in the master is a jacuzzi tub....can't wait to use that.
And now for the update on Carson. We went to the doctor this morning and I wasn't feeling real well. As soon as I got there I had to run to the restroom to throw up. The doctor came in and checked the heart beat and measurements. We started talking about the uncomfortableness and how scared I am of the pains of labor and her reply was "Do you want to be induced? I can induce you tomorrow." Ryan and I were in complete shock! We never expected her to say that. So we talked to her about how it would work and told her we needed to go home and talk about it.
After talking to our parents and several friends we decided to go ahead. We called the doctor back and the hopsital was booked :-( We had gotten our hopes up and were getting excited but now we are back to the waiting game. I go back on Monday for my next appt. She said she could induce on Tuesday but that means we could be at the hospital for Christmas. So we'll see what happens and how I feel.

38 Weeks

Today I am 38 weeks and counting down. I have a doctor's appointment on Thursday so we'll see if there are any changes. I'm definitely getting to the miserable phase. Insomnia has totally kicked in and not only are my ankles swollen but so are my feet. (Gotta loves those Crocs)

I've started going to the mall to walk. I think it has helped some. He seems to have dropped a little. I'm having a lot more braxton hicks and this past Sunday some more severe cramping which subsided. Carson continues to move around and kick my rib cage. His most active time is between 10 and 12 at night. He's awake as I write this. :-)

For other exciting news we have our walk through on our house this Thursday. If everything goes as planned we are supposed to close next Tuesday. We are super excited! I'm still trying to get pictures. Everytime we go there it's full of workers....and somewhere in the middle of all this exciement is Christmas.

It's All About the Belly

Today I am 36 weeks...4 weeks left to go! I thought I would share my belly pics because I know my friends in Jax (Wendy) always wanted to see me fat. The first picture is when I was 14 weeks and the bottom is from today. It's all about the belly! Since the beginning I've always carried low.

I went to the doctor yesterday and my cervix is still very high and very tight. So it looks like he's still cooking. The ankles have started swelling (yesterday). When I asked the doctor about it he kind of giggled because they looked more puffy compared to the swelling he's seen. Oh and I can't forget the frequent bathroom trips. Ryan and I have moved to seperate beds since I'm up every hour going to the bathroom. At least someone is getting some sleep.

Thanksgiving

We had a great Thanksgiving. We were a little nervous since we had to cook it and it was only our second time having to do so. My dad always did the turkey, Thanksgiving was his specialty. We weren't sure how we were going to make it through the holiday without him but we did.
We invited some friends from Ryan's work that just moved here from Jacksonville. Becky just started working at Suntrust with Ryan and she and her husband attended church with Debbe and my dad in Jax. So it was like having extra family.
We were very thankful to be together to share this holiday and are looking forward to many more.
