Trip to Jax

We took our first trip with Carson to Jacksonville last weekend. We had a wonderful time and it was great to see friends. Carson did well in the car. He slept most of the way there and back. Hopefully he continues to enjoy car rides since our next trip is to St. Louis next month and it's a much longer drive.
We arrived on Thursday afternoon. On Friday we went to my school to visit everyone. It was great to be back. I wish I could have stayed longer. I miss them so much. Then we stopped by Crisi and Travis's so the boys could meet. The picture above is their first encounter. That night we had dinner with Kim and Wes and their kids, Taylor and Caden. It was great to finally see them.
On Saturday we headed over to Crisi and Travis's to plan for Valentine's. The boys ended up being twins on Valentine's day and we didn't even plan it. (Joshua is 5 months old and Carson is 7 weeks old.) After we shot dozens of pictures they both fell asleep in their chairs. That evening Crisi planned a wonderful Valentine's party for her family. It was a great way to celebrate the day.

On Sunday we had Joshua's baptism. He was so adorable! He fell asleep towards the end of mass but woke up in time for the ceremony. He was very alert and seemed to take it all in. Ryan and I were honored to be Godparents. We look forward to many more memories with the boys.
Carson is getting bigger everyday. We weighed him at Crisis's and he was almost 12 pounds. He is smiling and talking so much more. It's so much fun to see his personality starting to develop. He has also discovered his fingers. He is constantly putting them in his mouth. He hasn't started sucking on them yet but he is trying. His reflux also seems to be getting much better. He hardly spits up now since we added the rice to his bottle. (But I do think that's why he's getting bigger so fast)

The pictures are all great and it was so good to be with all of you. Oh yes, Carson did visit his grandmother in Jacksonville too!
